Home Farm Plants is open in the Farm Square in the centre of the Breed Centre and right outside the café. The nursery stocks choice, garden-worthy, herbaceous perennials raised from seeds, cuttings, roots or plugs from reputable sources. Plants are in compost containing vine-weevil deterrent and slow-release fertilizer.
Herbaceous perennials provide colour through the seasons and many will re-bloom if dead headed, making them an excellent choice for all-year interest. A few annuals appear on the list, selected for their valuable contribution to the summer and autumn borders.
Most plants are sold in 2 litre pots. Helpful details, such as descriptions, flowering times, size and cultivation requirements appear on the pot labels.
